My son loves to play, play, play and sometimes it was hard to get
him to focus and listen to me when he was playing. When it was time to
break for lunch or time to clean up toys and get ready for bed, he was
having a lot of melt downs and there was a lot of power struggles. So I
created a bedtime routine chart that included cleaning up toys as one of
the steps. It took about three of four nights of the routine chart
before he would stop with the melt downs, there is still some complaining sometimes but overall a lot more happiness in our home. I also made a morning routine
chart to get us going in the morning. He of course has to follow all the
steps on the chart before he can play with toys. These charts work
great for our family. Graphics from ourcutegraphics.com. Click on each picture to download.
